Kaelyn Grace Apple
Hi Friend!
I am Kaelyn Grace Apple, a 29-year-old London-based entrepreneur, a fifth-year Ph.D. candidate in History and African American Studies at Yale University, and a Project Manager for Ali Abdaal.
I believe in charting unconventional paths to extraordinary destinations. I'm on a mission to help you create the life you've been dreaming about—without compromise or overwhelm.
As a History and African American Studies Ph.D. candidate at Yale University, my research explores the legal origins of matrilineal descent (partus sequitur ventrem) in the 17th-century English Atlantic World. Through the lens of scholars like Jennifer Morgan and Alys Weinbaum, I examine how the intersection of race, gender, and labor shaped colonial society and continues to influence our world today.
My journey has been anything but traditional. After nearly failing community college, I discovered my passion for productivity and academic excellence, eventually completing my History degree at UCLA before continuing to Oxford. Along the way, I created @TheRedHeadAcademic (now, I go on social media just as @KaelynGraceApple) to provide fellow students with the guidance I wished I'd had, which evolved into co-founding The Accepted Society with my friend Cait, a thriving online community of scholars from all around the world.
Today, I balance multiple passions while based in London:
Leading Product Development at Ali Abdaal Ltd.
Running The Accepted Society with my business partner, Cait
Creating content across YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok
Pursuing my Yale Ph.D. Dissertation
Building meaningful relationships with my partner, friends, and beloved dog, Moo.
Maintaining my lifelong love of horseback riding
Exploring London's best bakeries every Saturday morning
When I'm not diving into colonial legal documents or strategizing with clients, you'll find me lost in fantasy novels (especially "A Discovery of Witches"), sipping boba, or dreaming about my future horse yard in the English countryside.
Here's what you can expect from me:
Productivity strategies that actually work
Insights on calendar management
Tips for work, business, & life harmony
Creator strategies & behind-the-scenes glimpses
Updates on my historical research
I believe that success doesn't follow a linear path—it's about embracing your unique journey and helping others along the way. Ready to transform your academic journey, build your business, or unlock your creative potential? I've created a roadmap based on my own experience of turning dreams into reality, and I'm here to guide you through every step.
